Scientific Seminar to be Held by IIT Delhi in August 2017

 An Indian Scientific delegation consisting of 12 of the heads and deputies of Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) in Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur and Rurkee visited a number of Iranian universities including K.N Toosi University of Technology, Sharif University of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tarbiat Modares University and Alzahra University on 26^th November 2016. The Indian delegation held meetings with the heads of the above-mentioned universities and visited the relevant faculties and facilities. Also, they traveled to Shiraz in order to visit the Regional Information Center for Science and Technology and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and have negotiations with the regional authorities.
Following these meetings, the Indian side agreed to hold a scientific seminar hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. In this seminar, Iranian and Indian experts in the fields of Communication, Biotechnology and Life Sciences, Advanced Materials, Energy and Oil, Hydrology and Water, and Arts and Architecture would gather to discuss the most recent scientific trends in their specialized fields of study.
At first, this seminar was supposed to be held in February/March 2017 and the Iranian universities presented the list of their representatives in February 2017. Also, IIT Delhi was supposed to gain the necessary permissions for this seminar. Fortunately, the initial official permissions have been received and IIT Delhi representatives have contacted Dr. Seyed Mohammad Reza Khalili, The Scientific Attaché of the I.R. of Iran in the Indian Subcontinent, to fix a day for the seminar. After thorough negotiations with the concerned Iranian universities, the Scientific Attaché of Iran suggested a day between 11^th  and 15^th of August 2017.
The finalized date of this seminar would be officially announced on the official webpage of Iran-India Scientific and Technological Cooperation on “iriin.um.ac.ir”.
